The Pearl Harbor Attack on Workers in 1994 forcasted our economic storms today.
By Tapsearch Com and Tapart News and Art that Talks Editor and Artist Ray Tapajna - Our Pearl Harbor Attack on Workers Editorial Cartoon was done in 1994 with President Bush added in 2001 riding shotgun as the Doctor Strangelove of our times.
The four men who could have stopped the economic storms of our times.
There were four men who could have change the course of history but chose to betray American workers and the American Dream. They triggered the economic storms we suffer today. Only one out of the four could have stopped the passing of NAFTA and GATT unfair trade agreements, but they all proved to be Globalist Free Traders following the format of the elder President Bush.
1. President Clinton - He consummated Free Trade in the passing of both NAFTA and GATT. He called his Democrat controlled Congress back from Thanksgiving vacation and in a lame duck session of Congress in 1993. He rushed the passing of the unfair trade agreements even though the new "Contract with America" Republicans were ready to take control of Congress the coming January in 1994.
2. Rep. Newt Gingrich - He locked hands with President Clinton steering the Reublicans to support the passage of these unfair trade agreements. He did not even have Free Trade on his list in the "Contract with America" at the time, but he dramatically pushed it through Congress locking hands with the Democrats who still were in control.
3. Senator Bob Dole - He pressed the Senate to pass NAFTA and GATT even though he said his whole state seemed to be against it. Many Republican Conservatives were pushed into supporting the passage.
4. Rush Limbaugh - We tend to forget how powerful Limbaugh was in in 1993-94. He proved to be instrumental in getting the new "Contract with America" Republicans elected who took control of Congress. The Republican winners gave him a tribute for his efforts. Limbaugh went out of his way to promote NAFTA and GATT locking hands with President Clinton in the process. The debates on his radio show were heated with many Conservatives challenging his stand on GATT.
At times, he lost his composure and I recall him saying one time - I do not care if a 64 year old man loses his job - Free Trade is a must!
However, the Globalization of money came rst - see http://www.bizarrepolitics.com/globalization-of-money-products
If only one of these four men, chose to vote or spoke against NAFTA and GATT , we would not be suffering the our economic crisis today.
( Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said it all when the told Congress the best way to stimulate the economy is to buy "domestically produced goods". This tells the whole story behind our economic financial crisis. Economies based on making money on money instead of making things are burning out. )
This resulted in the a massive deflation in the value of workers and labor with this value being a real tangible asset that acted as a money standard. Obviously , it impacted the value of paper money and transactions across the board.

(The following published 1994 letter by Ray Tapajna still applys. The passing of NAFTA and GATT betrayed the American workers and now we have over a ten year history of Free Trade failures )
FROM THE DIVINE TO THE DEFICIT_______From 1994
Can Gingrich and the Republicans keep their promises- and should they?
By Ray Tapajna, Cleve Plain Dealer 12/11/94
As a Conservative, I apologize to the American worker (for Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh (Limbaugh was instrumental in the elections of the new Contract with America Republicans.) Soon they will be promising a chicken for every pot and telling us to be happy. Maybe Gingrich will add it to the "contract".
What they don't understand is that many of us came out of the woodwork (to vote) because the option of being "Clintonized" was too much to handle. We were against the new GATT because we were against the old GATT that exported our jobs and industries. Anyone who has dealth with this end of things knows that our American idea if fair play doesn't happen in many foreign countries.Anyone who has been on either side of a strike line knows nothing gets resolved by moving the jobs outside the USA. It seem both Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh have a problem in defining what human dignity is all about
Those who feel Limbaugh betrayed them by hiding his real feelings about the GATT trade agreement until after the election should drop a note to his sponsors and the radiio station to tell them to boycott their products. Then we conservatives would like to reach out to the workers of America and offer an alliance of solidarity until this terrible "Big Money" thing stops stealing the Ameriacn Dream from us. In the meantime, the Republicans can stuff their 'Contract with America'. GATT should have been part of it.
(President Clinton and a Democrat controlled Congress passed both NAFTA and GATT. GATT was passed in a Lameduck session even though the Republicans had won the House- Clinton joined hands with Dole and Gingrich Republicans in betraying the American workers.-- President Bush followed in 2000 and passed Fast Track which in effect made the Executive Branch of the US , the new CEO of the world economy .-- This had no basis in our Constitution or history.)
